Gad Elmaleh

Gad Elmaleh , born the April 19th 1971 with Casablanca, is a Humoriste and Acteur French of Moroccan origin.

Biography

Gad Elmaleh grows with Casablanca. His/her father was commercial and MIME amateur. In 1987, at 17 years, Gad leaves the Morocco to go to study the Political sciences with Montreal then comes in France in 1992 to Paris, to follow an artistic formation to the Cours Florent during two years and half. There, he was pupil of Isabelle Nanty.

In 2004, he is the godfather of Agir To react , CD in favor of the disaster victims of the Earthquake which shook the area of Al-Hoceima, to the Morocco the February 24th of this year.

The March 22nd, 2006, it is made Chevalier of Arts and the Letters by the Minister for the culture Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres.

The June 16th, 2007, it receives a diploma of Master honoris causa in social sciences at University Al Akhawayn of Ifrane, in Morocco.

His/her brother Arié Elmaleh, also actor, is known for his services in a series of publicities for SFR.

Career of actor

He begins as an assistant from Elie Kakou (which will become his/her friend). He will make some fast appearances in some of his sketches. In the no-claims bonus of the DVD of comic fire, one can often see Gad in background.

In 2006, one finds it with the cinema in the Lining of Francis Veber where it incarnates François Pignon, then in Out of price of Pierre Salvadori. In September 2006, Gad Elmaleh carries out a mini-round in the United States, marked by a spectacle with Broadway in Beacon Theater in front of a public of 3.000 people. January 6th, 2007, he is elected " the funniest man of the année" (by the spectators of the French chain TF1) in front of 49 other humorists.

With the beginning of the year 2007, it takes again its spectacle the Other it is me (with modifications which prepares its new show) in Morocco, in France in Belgium and Switzerland. It is within the framework of the Festival Right to laugh 2007, with Montreal with the Canada, that the humorist presents his new spectacle, Papa is in top , for the first time.

The round proceeds as from October and until in the first months of 2008 through France. He is announced with the poster of the Olympia for January and December.

First was played festival of Poupet with Saint Malo-of-Wood in France on July 12th, 2007.
