Gabriela Sabatini

Gabriela Sabatini (born the May 16th 1970 with Buenos Aires) is a player of Tennis Argentine, Professionnel of January 1985 at October 1996.

Career

Gabriela Sabatini gains its single title of the Grand Slam with the US Open in 1990 against Steffi Graf. It also gains the Masters in 1988 and 1994 (respectively vis-a-vis WFP Shriver and Lindsay Davenport).

Among his other great performances, one can quote a final lost in 1991 with Wimbledon or a money medal to the Olympic Games of Seoul in 1988. It also disputed some splendid matches, for example the finale of the Masters of 1990, where it is beaten by Monica Seles at the time of the first official meeting ever played by women in five handles. In all, it gained twenty-seven titles into simple and fourteen in double.

Gabriela Sabatini put a term at its career in October 1996, at only twenty-six years, after two years of disappointing results.

In 2005, the American journalists of Tennis Magazine classified Gabriela Sabatini 40e among the " forty great champions of Tennis of these forty last années" (men & women confused), just behind the Australia N Patrick Rafter (39e).

It is member of the International Tennis Hall off Famed since 2006.
