Gabriel Retes

Gabriel Retes (born the March 25th 1947 with Mexico City) is a Acteur, Réalisateur, Scénariste and Mexican Producteur for the Cinéma.

Biography

Gabriel Retes Balzaretti is the son of the scenario writer Ignacio Retes and the actress Lucila Balzaretti. It began on the boards from the traditional Théâtre at the 12 years age. At the beginning of the Years 1970, it creates for itself an impressive catalog of films of short films to the format Super 8.

The Feature-length film Chin Chin el Teporocho (1976), adapted novel of Armando Ramírez, is a dark and caustic representation of a Mexican middle-class in perdition. The action proceeds partly in the district violate Tepito of Mexico City. Its second length, Nuevo Mundo (1978), is censured because of the controversy around the subject: the divinity of Notre-Dame de Guadalupe.
