Gabriel Macé (1918 - 1990) was a French journalist.
Native of the the Gironde in 1918. After the college of Périgueux, it makes its higher learning with Bordeaux wine. Laid off in letters, he becomes English professor with Sarlat. He takes an active share with resistance in the Bordeaux region.
He takes part in the launching of a periodical designed during the Occupation, in September 1944 with Périgueux, “ Rise ”, satiric weekly born of the meeting between Pierre Fanlac, Jean-Paul Lacroix and him.
He joined the Canard connected in 1947 with Tréno. He specializes in the interior policy, while collaborating in the newspapers Action, Franc-Tireur, Paris-Newspaper, Libération. He indicates himself like Anarchiste, but is before a whole Humaniste and a liberal . In its office with Doves, he writes under the monitoring of the Déclaration of the human rights and the citizen.

In 1969, appointed editor association, station which it constantly occupied until its death, it more particularly has the responsibility for the cultural part “ ” of the newspaper, while Jean Clémentin directs the political part “ ”, as a joint editor as a chief of the newspaper.
He dies in 1990. He was an essential character of the history of the Canard connected of the end of asses 40 until June 1990.
