Gabriel Koenigs

Gabriel Koenigs , born with Toulouse the January 17th 1858 and died in Paris the October 29th 1931, is a Mathématicien French.

Biography

He is pupil with the National university of Paris, then professor of Mécanique S with the Sorbonne. He is elected member of the Academy of Science on March 18th, 1918 (section of mechanics).

Contemporary of Gaston Darboux (1842 - 1917), it contributed to work of Julius Plücker and Felix Klein in the field of the Géométrie then in those of the iterative theory and the Analytical mechanics where it applied the theory of Poincaré.
