Gabriel Bouscaren

Gabriel Bouscaren was a Militaire French, born in 1832 and died in 1880.

Military career, the commander Bouscaren took part in the Conquête of Algeria in the Army of Africa, at the sides of the general Thomas-Robert Bugeaud. He finished his life in Guadeloupe and is buried with the cemetery of Point-with-Clown.

Its tomb became a place of magic worship popular in Guadeloupe: it is constantly flowered, and the commander is called upon to solve personal problems. A bust of the marble commander surmounts the stele, but in 1994, its head was detached and stolen.

The reasons of this worship are unknown, since its biography does not comprise apparently any bond with sorcery.
