Gabriel Bexon

Gabriel Léopold Charles Amé Bexon , known under the name of the Abbé Bexon is a Naturaliste French collaborator of Buffon, born the March 10th 1748 with Remiremont and dead the May 2nd 1784.

He was priest, chaplain of the princess Anne Charlotte of Lorraine, and was, after a long stay with Nancy, the last cantor of the the Ste Chapelle. He will coopéra with the history of minerals and especially he took part in the volumes devoted to the Oiseau X of the Natural history of Buffon, and attempted to imitate even his style. His/her brother is the criminal jurist Scipion Jerome Bexon.
