Gabriel-Narcisse Rupalley
Gabriel-Narcisse Rupalley , born the March 24th 1745 with Bayeux where he died the March 7th 1798 is a Artist-painter French.
Wire of Joachim Rupalley of which he was probably the pupil, he then went to study in Rouen at the free school of Descamps.
His/her oldest daughter, Angelica-Marie-Gabrielle (1708-1870), cultivated painting and the Miniature and carried out a copy of the portrait of her grandfather. His/her son, Gabriel-Brutus left Miniature S, Pastel S and Dessin S.
It is extremely probable that some of the tables of Joachim Rupalley are allotted wrongly to his/her Gabriel-Narcisse son and reciprocally.
To return to Bayeux, Rupalley endeavoured to encourage there, as of 1797, the formation of a museum, and its efforts not having obtained any result, died about it of spite and sorrow.
