Gaël Duval
Gaël Duval is a pioneer of Linux in France. It is graduate of data processing “networks and documentary applications” of the Université of Caen Basse-Normandie.
It created at the 25 years age the distribution Mandrake Linux in 1998, from now on Mandriva Linux.
He is also cofounder of Mandrakesoft, company developing Mandrake Linux, become Mandriva in 2005 following the repurchase of Conectiva and with the litigation which opposed the company to American Hearst Publications and King Features Syndicate about the character of cartoon Mandrake the magician , as well as Cosmosonic, company of music publishing in 2002.
In March 2006, it is laid off by François Bancilhon, managing director of Mandriva, and is devoted full-time to its personal project, Ulteo.
