GULF Air
GULF Air (Code AITA: GF ; Code ICAO: GFA ) (rear RTL طيرانالخليج) is the national Airline company of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. GULF Air serves 49 destinations (January 2007).
History
It was created in 1950 to represent the countries of the Arabian Gulf. The company was also financed by the Qatar, which was withdrawn some to be devoted entirely to Qatar Airways, like by the emirate of Abou Dhabi, which was withdrawn some to found the company Etihad Airways. The company is primarily important for Bahrain which does not have a national airline company.It is based on the Aéroport of Bahrain and the Aéroport of Oman but the training of is carried out with Doha with the Qatar.
The company also finances the Grand Prix of Bahrain. It is chaired by Bahreïnien Abdul Aziz Jassim Kanoo.
