Chemin de Régordane or Way régordane.
Seule the Chemin expression of Régordane is correct if one refers to the old forms which we collected since 12th: itinere publico regordane, iter publicum regordane, strata publica of regordane, will carreriera publica regordane, large camy of regordane, caminus Regordane, Chemin of Régordane. The Mistral poet whose forever disputed scholarship, calls it camin regourdan. In addition, Regordane is the name of an area, a ground, sees even province, which would extend roughly from Ales with Pradelles and Largentière as showed we it elsewhere (the Way of Régordane, ED. Lacour, Nimes).
Chemin de Régordane is the name given to the major axis which crosses the country of Régordane, just like in Chemin north of Drill indicates the main road which crosses this area and further still Canal from Berry applies to the water way which serves this province. One notices the preposition of which is employed. The expression sees Régordane which is widespread was retained only as from the 19th century to give to this road an improbable Roman origin. We raised this expression only once, at the 18th century, moderated by its French translation, via regordia, vulgarly way of régordane. In addition, this expression is then used within the framework of a polemic. Marcel Girault
