GR. 10

This Sentier of great excursion (GR.) crosses the chain of the the Pyrenees of west in east.

It starts by briskly climbing the sides of the hills of the Basque Country since Hendaye at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on the Côte Basque, then by a play of leapfrog of valley in valley, it joined the Mediterranean with Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Vermilion Côte.

Alternating the forest track, the road and the path of Mountain, it allows to the hiker the complete discovery of this solid mass.

For the complete course, a hiker will have to count good about fifty days, some small alternatives being able to lengthen or shorten the total distance. The GR. 10 opens a sight on the Cirque of Gavarnie and crosses many other picturesque sites of the Pyrenees.
