G.I. Joe
G.I. Joe is an American soldier hero of Band-drawn created by David Breger, when one asked him to draw a data base for the army of the the United States during the Second world war. G.I. means government resulting . The data base was published for the first time the June 17th 1942 in the magazine of the army YANK and in the newspaper Stars and Stripes . In 1945, United Artists left a film named The Story off G.I. Joe (" Convicts of the gloire") put in scene by William Wellman with Robert Mitchum and Burgess Meredith in the role of the war correspondent Ernie Pyle.
Starting from 1964, the character of G.I. Joe became a series of figurines articulated plastic on the topic of the army produced by Hasbro. The line of toys began with G.I. Joe, then two years later, Hasbro inclua of the members of all the branches of the army. Name G.I. Joe does not designate only one any more character, but the mark of a line of toys. He is also mentioned in a song of the rock group The Clash: " Ivan meets G.I. Joe".
