Günther von Mannagetta und Lërchenau Beck

Günther von Mannagetta und Lërchenau Beck is a German Botaniste , born the August 25th 1856 with Pressburg, today Bratislava and dead the June 23rd 1931 with Prague.

He is director of the department of botany of the natural history museum of Natural history of Vienna and professor at the university from Vienna and Prague of 1899 with 1921.

Beck directs the publication of Wiener Illustrierten Gartenzeitung and is the author of:

Flora von Niederösterreich (1890 - 1893);
Die Vegetationsverhältnisse DER illyrischen Länder begreifend Südkroatien, die Quarnero-Inseln, Dalmatien, Bosnien und die Hercegovina, Montenegro, Nordalbanien, den Sandzak Novipazar und Serbien (1901);
Hilfsbuch für Pflanzensammler (1902);
Flora Bosne, Hercegovine I Novipazarskog Sandzaka (three volumes, 1903 - 1927);
Grundriß der Naturgeschichte of Pflanzenreiches, (1908).

It also contributes to Die natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien: Orobanchaceae (1895) published by Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler (1844-1930) and by Karl Anton Eugen Prantl (1849-1893).
