Günter Blobel
Günter Blobel , born the May 21st 1936 with Waltersdorf, in Silesia is a German biologist prize winner of the Nobel Prize of physiology or medicine in 1999.
Biography
Günter Blobel made its studies of medicine to the Université of Tübingen and received its doctorate of biology of the university of Wisconsin to Madison in 1967. He was post-doctoral then researcher with the Université Rockefeller in the laboratory of George Palade. He is currently Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator with the Université Rockefeller of New York, with the the United States.In 1999, it received the Nobel Prize of physiology or medicine for the processes of étiquettage and intracellular addressing of proteins.
Humanistic, it in particular signed, with other prizes winner of the Nobel Prize, a call asking that a delegation of the Committee of the Rights of the Child of UNO returns visit to a child Tibetan under house arrest since 1995 in China, Gendhun Choekyi Nyima, recognized like 11th Panchen LAMA by the 14th Dalaï Lama, Tenzin Gyatso.
