Géza II of Hungary

Géza II Árpád , born with Tolna in the 1130, deceased May 31st 1162, buried with Székesfehérvár, was king of Hungary and Croatia of 1141 to 1162 (crowned the February 16th 1141). He is the oldest son of Béla II '' the Blind man '' and of Helene of Serbia. He married in 1146 Euphrosina, of the dynasty of the Riourikides (girl of Mstislav I {{er}}, large-prince de Kiev), of which he had eight children, of which Etienne III and Béla III, both kings de Hongrie.

He encouraged the peasants and nobliaux Lorraine, Luxembourg and of the Rhineland to colonize the Transylvania, in the basin of Sibiu and in the valleys of the Olt and the Hutbalu, to protect it from the invasion of the nomads Coumans. He granted to them hereditary titles in exchange of financial obligations, and allotted the title of Count to some of them.
