Gérold Ier of the Turn-Châtillon of Zurlauben , named, in 1598, abbot and lord of the house bénédictine of Rheinau, in Thurgovie, reformed the houses of the Bénédictin S in Suisse, and in 1603, it links its abbey with this famous corporation. The subjects of the abbey, allured by the errors of Zwingli, had revolted; to subject them, he beseeched the help of the catholic cantons. He died in Rheinau, the February 23rd 1607.
