Géolympiades

Géolympiades are a whole of friendly competitions gathering the students of the east of the Canada registered with a university program of Géographie.

Géolympiades are held once the year since the first edition in 1993, generally at the beginning of January. Spreading out over one weekend, this competition includes/understands several activities making it possible to determine a gaining Université. Moreover, Géolympiades want to be an excellent means for the participants of weaving bonds with other colleagues like widening their knowledge of the Géographie. This activity is not obligatory in the academic course, but she is regarded as very enriching. In turn, the various universities are the host of traditional annual. The gaining Université is seen giving the official Trophée of Géolympiades. The 16th géolympiade will be held with Three-Rivers from January 11th to 13rd 2008.

Activities of competition

Throughout the three days, the participating universities in Géolympiades clash at the time of varied activities, prepared by the university host. Questionnaires relating to the Geography until the friendly competitions while passing by the sports, the students find their account there. Each competition is important since an aiming system their is associated. The event generally ends in a banquet honouring the deserving universities.
