Géo Norge

Norge (initially Géo Norge ), pseudonym of Georges Mogin , is a Belgian Poète French-speaking born in 1898 with Brussels and deceased in 1990.

Life

As from 1923, it writes under the name of Géo Norge then of Norge .
In 1931, it founds the Journal of the Poets with the support of Pierre-Louis Flouquet. About fifteen poets revolve around this newspaper, of which André Salmon.
In 1937 it founds the white Cahiers which will publish in particular a homage to Milosz. In 1940, he marries the painter Denise Perrier-Berche.
In 1959, Norge receives the triennial Prix of Poetry 1956-58 for its collection the onions .
In 1969, it receives the gold Eagle of Poetry to the first international festival of the book with Nice, then the first Belgo-Canadian literary prize.
In 1983, Week Norge at the House of Poetry with Paris.
In 1985, Price of Criticism for the Abrupt changes of subject .
In 1985, his/her son Jean Mogin, poet himself and husband of the poetess Lucienne Desnoues, dies of a cancer.
Norge died in 1990, preceded by a few years by his wife with whom it lived with Saint-Paul de Vence.

Poetry

Its poetry revêt a great diversity of forms (long poem-accounts, Virelangue S, micro Fable S, Towards regular, Verse S…) Under a misleading dress, that of a language simple, accessible, sometimes childish, with omnipresent humor, the poetry of Norge has a real metaphysical dimension. Unclassable poet, this large “Amazed” to exist does not cease being astonished: how can one be human? Its poetry combines concrete and metaphysical, terrestrial sensuality and cruelty, truth and incredulity, pangs of hunger and thirst for infinite. Impassioned by the life in the diversity of its forms, it treats as well stars as lombric or fly.

The Poèmes of Norge were sung by Jeanne Moreau on musics of Philippe Gerard.

the wild strawberry

Aubin gathered strawberries in wood. - Baste, a nude woman, says it blow very. It is here that pushes; I wondered well. She came to him, smiling and light. They had many children and Aubin had trimer like a negro.

the dwarf

Publications

The whole of its poetic works of 1923 to 1973 forms a thick volume published at Seghers (unfortunately exhausted). It continued to write until its death.

Published regularly to Gallimard, Flammarion, Seghers, like to the Editions of the Green disc, Editions Wisdom, editions that will go (Antwerp), Labor, Saint-Germain-of-Meadows, Jacques Antoine, École of the Leisures…
