Gédéon Ouimet

honourable the Gédéon Ouimet (born the June 2nd 1823 and dead the April 23rd 1905) was a lawyer and politician Québécois. Preserving appointed elected official of the district of Two-Mountains to the provincial elections of 1867, it was re-elected with those of 1871 and of 1875. He was public prosecutor in the government of Pierre-Joseph-Olivier Chauveau. He was the second Prime Minister for Quebec of the February 27th 1873 with the September 22nd 1874, but had to resign following the scandal of the Tanneries. He is buried with the Cimetière Our-Lady-of-Snows, with Montreal.
