Gébé

Gébé , of its true name Georges Blondeaux , is a Dessinateur French, born the July 9th 1929 with Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, dead the April 5th 2004.

Starting its career like industrial Illustrator with the SNCF in 1947, it publishes its first cartoons in the Life of the Rail .

  • In the years 1960 it is made known in important magazines like Paris Match or the Sunday newspaper.

  • Of 1969 with 1985, he becomes editor association of Hara-Kiri (magazine founded by François Cavanna) then Charlie-Hebdo. One owes him the romantic picture stories photographed by Chenz.
  • In 1986, he becomes editor association of Zero.
  • Of 1992 at the end of its life, it collaborated actively in the magazine Charlie-Hebdo, of which he was director of the publication.

In certain cartoons of Gotlib (the Heading-with-brac in particular) it is Gébé which incarnates the Commissaire Bougret. On the other hand, it is the character covering the features of Goscinny which is seen giving the name of Blondeaux Georges, the true name of Gébé.
