Fuzhou (福州; Pinyin : Fúzhōu ; EFEO : Insane-Tchéou ; Lagging-Gilles : Fu-cabbage ) is the capital of the Chinese province of the Fujian. It counted in 2001 approximately: 1172200 inhabitants. One speaks the Dialecte there about Fuzhou of the min.

Its exact geographical position is 26° 25 ' of Northern latitude and 119° 17 ' of longitude is. Between the Eastern China Sea and the southernmost , the bay of Fuzhou is separated from Taiwan by the strait of Formosa. It must with the oceanic influences and its subtropical climate a luxuriant vegetation.

Fuzhou is a historical and cultural city well-known in China. In 1984, it was indicated by the Council of the businesses of State as one of the 14 coastal towns belonging to the first group of cities to being open on outside.

Economy

As a capital and a distribution center of the goods of the province, Fuzhou is a window for the commercial exchanges with Taiwan. As of the establishment of the zone of experimentation, 830 agricultural projects involving an investment of 930 million $US of foreign assets were emphasized.

The culture of vegetables in special matter, that of vegetables for the refined dishes and that of ecological vegetables form the work-keys of the agricultural development of Fuzhou. The agricultural farm models Hongkuan strait in Fuqing and the agronomic and ecological park modern Sanhua of Fujian are devoted to this culture.

In Fuzhou, there are many companies with Taiwanese capital which moves into the zone of experimentation.
