Fuurin

The fuurin (風鈴 - ふうりん - huurin ), or in French wind small bell , is a traditional object of decoration Japanese. It generally constitutes small Cloche fixed on the casing of a window which tinkles with the force of the wind.

The traditional forms are generally in Céramique. One readily hangs there to the leaf a small piece of paper on which a Haïku is written.

The wind small bell is manufactured of metal or glass or then of earthenware. But there are also the wood, the brass or the alminium which can be used as materials.

The wind bells create the sound by throwing one against the other or then by itself.

Much Japanese feels a feeling of freshness (especially of the summer) by listening to this sound.
