Fusion of musical genres
Two musical genres can form a new kind, which becomes a sub-genus for each of the two kinds of which it is formed. One generally speaks about Fusion (or Mélange, Mariage, Mix…) The name of the new kind is often formed of the names of the two acollés kinds of origin (sometimes a hyphen separates the two names); it can also be a Mot-valise (e.g.: Merenhouse: Merengue + House or Salsaton: Salsa + Reggaeton). It is advisable to announce that the use of the term of fusion in music refers most of the time to the one of the two following types of fusion:
- the jazz-rock'n'roll (or jazz fusion);
- the mixture of Rock'n'roll, Funk and Rap '' [[Fusion (rock'n'roll)] ].
