Fusion by inertial confinement
The fusion by inertial confinement is a method used to carry a quantity of fuel in the conditions of Température and desired Pression for the nuclear Fusion. The containment of fuel of fusion is carried out using inertial forces .
This method can be implemented thanks to various techniques:
- devices with axial Constriction (or Z-pinch)
- devices with Inertial confinement by laser
There exist other methods making it possible to carry out the containment of fuel necessary to fusion, in particular the magnetic containment or the electrostatic containment
See the article Inertial confinement by laser.
