Fusion (physical)

See also: Fusion

In Physical and Metallurgy, the fusion is the passage of a body of the solid state towards the state Liquide. For a pure substance, i.e. for a substance made up of identical Molecules all, the fusion is carried out at constant temperature. The temperature of fusion or solidification of a pure substance is a constant which depends very little on the pressure (contrary to the temperature of boiling, to see Diagramme of phase).

On the other hand, the melting point of a mixture of pure substances (see Diagram of phase binary heading diagram) is carried out on a beach of temperature (except for a Eutectique), and depends on the proportion of each component of the mixture.
