Fusakichi Omori
Fusakichi Omori is a seismologist Japanese (October 30th 1868 - Fukui; November 8th 1923 - Tōkyō). Omori studies physics at the Imperial University of Tōkyō. It is initiated with the Sismologie under the aegis of John Milne and Seiki Sekiya. He travels to Europe and becomes professor de Sismologie on his return in 1896. Very eclectic researcher, it is interested in various aspects of seismology and studies many earthquakes, in Japan like abroad. These observations on the Earthquake of Nobi of 1891 enable him to establish a law which bears its name. On a journey in Australia at the time of the Earthquake of Kantō of 1923, it returns to Japan but its health worsens. He dies on November 8th, two months only after the seism.
