Furnace Small fireclay cup
Four Small fireclay cup is the Pseudonyme which chose Kieran Hebden for its solo project of Electronic music, begun in 1998 to enable him to play while being detached from the formation Post-rock'n'roll Fridge.
Biography
Kieran Hebden is a London guitarist when it forms, with Adem Ihan and Sam Jeffers, the group of Fridge post-rock'n'roll, whereas it is still with the college with Putney. It creates the project Four Small fireclay cup in 1998, in different parallel of sound groups, and starts to invent a kind of “extatic” electronic music to the influences Hip hop, Jazz or even Folk, in samplant and modifying various sonorities on its laptop.
Its first EP Thirtysixtwentyfive and its individual first Misnomer (1998), like its first album Dialog (1999), leaves all three on the label Output Recordings Luke Hannam.
3 other albums follow on the label Domino Records, of 2001 to 2005, as well as a collection of Remix (half remixor, half remixé) left in 2006 on the same label.
Kieran Hebden also created its own label Text Records, and collaborated much with the beater of jazz Steve Reid.
