Furling
The Furlings are a race of Extraterrestre S imagined for the Televised series of science fiction Stargate SG-1 .
Furlings, just like the Asgard, Old , and Nox, belonged to a intergalactic alliance gathering the most powerful races and technologically most advanced at the time of the creation of this alliance. The race of Furlings seems today extinct.
Information on Furlings is very tiny and of many theories exist on them. A thing is sure, those were very technologically advanced people. But their role within alliance, as well as the reasons of their probable disappearance , remain a mystery. It could be that them possible disappearance is due to the introduction by a Goa' uld of a toxic plant on a satellite, which poisoned the inhabitants of this world ( Stargate SG-1 season 6, episode 15: “ Paradise lost ”). Nothing guarantees however that Furlings did not live on another planets. If such is the case, those do not appear with the other people for unknown reasons. It could be nevertheless that the other members of the alliance of the four great races are still in contact with Furlings.
One attends their introduction into the 200e episode of the series (which is the sixth of season 10 of Stargate SG-1 ). But this episode is a comic episode where Martin Lloyd (the extraterrestrial one of the hundredth episode of the series, named " Wormhole X-Treme! " and which was also a comic episode) request council near SGC to perfect the scenario of its film in production. The scenario of its film is resulting from the cancelled series " Wormhole X-Treme! " who met a sharp success however. Furlings appear " fictivement" in film of Martin Lloyd, in the form of puppets resembling curiously the Ewoks of Star Wars. In her scenario, the team SG-1 destroys planet of Furlings inopportunely. Besides SG-1 points out to him that it is not very an good idea.
