Funnyway

Funnyway is a Nouvelle of Science-fiction of the writer Serge Brussolo published in 1978.

Presentation of work

The publication of this news, in 1978, in the Anthology Future at the present directed by Philippe Curval, launched the career of Serge Brussolo to France. One perceives from the start there the style which will be its trademark and the pledge of its success. A writing which leaves the vision of an image that the author then employs has to describe in detail while slipping by interminably and unbearably the metaphor. Here, it is about the image horrifying and absurdity of cyclists turning indefinitely and without reason on a track without end. The justification imports little and besides there is not because the spectacle is sufficed for itself. This process, near in the way of doing of a Stefan Wul, deviates some however by the dark character from this universe whose Serge Brussolo thus poses the bases as of his first philosopher's stone.
