Funky Monks
Funky Monks is the title of documentary of 1991 on the rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers and the recording of their album Blood Sugar Sex Magik which contains a song carrying the same title. This album, produced by Rick Rubin, was recorded in a supposedly haunted house which is from now on the property of the producer.
Throughout the 60 minutes of documentary, filmed in black and white, we are the witnesses of the recording of a great number of titles of the album but also of other songs which do not appear in it but which will leave a few years like " later; Drunk to Squeeze ". One finds also part of this documentary in the clip of " Suck My KIS " , individual left in 1992.
At the origin, Funky Monks left in VHS but is arisen since in DVD. For the anecdote, Red Hot are since then turned over in this famous manor " hanté" to record there their last album Stadium Arcadium .
