Funicular of Bom Jesus

The Funicular of Bom Jesus (in Portuguese: Elevador C Bom Jesus) is in Braga, Portugal.

The driving force of the Funiculaire is ensured by water. The weight of the water added in a tank located under the higher cabin makes it possible this one to go down and the other to go up.

The length of the line is of 274 meters, its unevenness 116 meters.

The Funicular was open on March 25th, 1882 and is oldest of the Iberian peninsula.
