Geography
The emirate of Fujaïrah is the only emirate of the United Arab Emirates to being completely not turned towards the Persian Gulf but towards the Golfe of Oman. Very mountainous, its territory consists of two Enclave S rather wide and of two small enclaves including one where sovereignty is shared with the emirate of Charjah. It has borders with Oman and the emirates of Ajman (enclave of Manama), Charjah and Ras el Khaïmah. The climate is desert and semi-desert on the coast thanks to moisture and with the clouds coming from the Indian Ocean.
There exist many uncertainties on the layout of the Frontière S and the sovereignty of certain zones between Fujaïrah, Charjah and Oman, in particular on an Omani enclave in the United Arab Emirates, on another enclave whose sovereignty is shared between Fujaïrah and Charjah and on the town of Khor Fakkan which is regarded sometimes as a city of the emirate of Charjah, sometimes like an enclave of the emirate of Fujaïrah in the emirate of Charjah.

Economy
Being located on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates, Fujaïrah has only few reserves of Pétrole and of Natural gas and cannot practice the fishing of the Perle S, water being too cold so that the shells producing them can live there. The saving in Fujaïrah is thus based on the fishing and the Agriculture. For a few years, the emirate has tried to develop its port activity while drawing started from its position géographique : being located on the coast of the Golfe of Oman, the boats do not need to pass by the Détroit of Ormuz to gain the United Arab Emirates, which shortens their way and makes it surer, water of this strait being dubious with the maritime dispute with the Iran. The Container ships and the Pétrolier S can accost all the more easily in the emirate of Fujaïrah which it lays out of deep water ports, which is far from being the case of all the other ports on the Persian Gulf.
Development projects of the Tourisme are being studied, the emirate having some sand beaches white and of the coral reefs. Moreover, the presence of the Montagne S constitutes an asset for Fujaïrah because it is possible to carry out there Randonnée, treks, circuits in cross-country Véhicule and to appreciate there to it (relative) freshness of the climate compared to the coast or to the Désert.
