The family of the Pinacées ( Pinaceae ), or Abiétacées, is a family of the plants Gymnosperme S which counts 220-250 species divided into 11 kinds.
They are trees or shrubs, moderated areas, with persistent sheets out of needle or in scales or null and void as for the Mélèze S. In this family, the indigenous species in France are among the kinds Abies (the Sapin S), Picea (the spruce S), Larix (the larch of Europe), Pinus (the pine S). Many other species or varieties were acclimatized for the Sylviculture and the culture of ornament. One can still quote the kinds:
