- Towards 355, Donat (as a Gaulle or Spain) schismatic bishop of Casae Nigrae in Numidie. Its successor Parmenianus continues his combat in Africa against the official Church. He fights at the sides of the Berber prince Firmus which was drawn up against the Roman authority, in particular against the count of Africa Romanus. The Maurétanie enters in dissidence and Firmus occupies Caesarea and Icosium (Algiers).
