Frumence d\' Aksoum

Frumence or Frumentius (holy Greek born with Tyr, died towards 383) was that which introduced the Christianisme in Ethiopia, by converting the king Ezana. He was the first bishop of Aksoum.

He is called Abba Salama in the Ethiopian tradition.

He is celebrated the October 17th by the Roman Catholic church, the November 30th by the orthodoxe Église and the December 18th by the Eastern orthodoxe Églises.

Biography

Frumence was devoted bishop by Athanase of Alexandria in 328, or according to the sources, between 340 and 346.
