Frontal epilepsy with night crises
The frontal epilepsy with night crises appears by crises of epilepsy S in series of which has occurred night which are often stereotyped and short (of a few seconds to a few minutes).
The crises are simple night excitations or dramatic crises with abrupt movements and tonic demonstrations. Some individuals will have one will have and the conservation of perception is usual. Some people will have diurnal crises.
The disease occurs in childhood or at the adulthood. 80% of the people will have manifestations of the disease before 20 years. The neurological examination is normal and the intelligence is not affected.
In the same family, the manifestations of the disease vary considerably. The disease lasts all the life but does not worsen. Towards around fifty the crises become less serious and their frequency is spaced.
The diagnosis is done on the private clinic and the E.E.G. the majority of the people has a relative reached. The change of the genes CHRNB2 and CHRNA4 is found in 40% of the cases.
