Biography
Wire of a very austere patrician family, it passed its childhood and youth on “gilded Bank” of Zurich. After the college, he studied the Romance German Philologie and languages. At the university, it obtains the title of doctor. For a short period, he was professor in a college, until its Cancer forces it to give up this profession. He begins a Psychothérapie and starts to write his Mémoires. He finished to write Mars in 1976 (appeared in German in 1977 and French in 1979), history of sound Cancer, his nevrotic life, his impossibility to like and communicate; it also described there all the trouble of the Swiss , him which resulted from the upper middle class inhabitant of Zurich.
It is about one of major works of the years 1970, chosen by the drafting of the magazine Lire as the best book of the year 1979. The book gained many admirors in annés the 1980 because it was very radical. (Three years after Mars , Zurich was in flames and the tumults of the young people terrorized the city.) But especially the book was published in one time when one was unaware of still the majority of the mechanisms at the origin of cancers. Also, the theory developed by Fritz Zorn according to which, each one “manufactures” and “deserves” the cancer which “corrodes it” had a great repercussion as well in the medical world as near the general public. Progress of knowledge did not confirm this intuition of Fritz Zorn, but its step remains a very rich source for all those, in particular, patients, close to patients, doctors, looking after, who are confronted each day with the psychic sufferings induced by a grave disease.
Its true family name, Angst , mean in French “fear”, “distresses”, and its pseudonym “anger”.
