Biography
He studies with the Conservatoire of Prague with Fidelio Finke and George Szell. He becomes then choirmaster to the German Theater of Prague, then directs the operas of the towns of Außig and Bremen. In 1947 it is named leader of the theater of Mannheim.In 1949, it obtains the direction of the prestigious Philharmonic orchestra of Munich following Felix Weingartner, Oswald Kabasta and Hans Rosbaud in particular. During more than fifteen years, it accommodates the largest interpreters in Munich, such David Oïstrakh or Hermann Prey.
