Fripounet and Marisette

Fripounet and Marisette is characters of Cartoon French, created in 1943 and 1945 by Rene Bonnet (Herboné). They give their name to a magazine of cartoons which becomes then Fripounet .

Fripounet and Marisette

Fripounet appears in 1943 in the Letter with the rural young people of the Marchand abbot. In 1945, Rene Bonnet associates a comrade, his Marisette cousin to him, and the editions Fleurus devote to them a weekly magazine chaperonné by the Catholic Action of the Children, which will appear of 1945 to 1969. The eight pages of this publication pass to 10-12 pages in 1956, and the large size passes to a general format (21×29 cm).

Two children of the countryside found themselves regularly with the catches with gangsters or spies. The drawing with the clear Ligne ensured a great legibility, underlined by colors with required balance. The concern moralizer of the stories seemed old-fashioned already. It doubled of a great documentary concern, with a predilection for speleology.

Fripounet and Marisette counted, in addition to the series high-speed motorboat, Sylvain and Sylvette of Maurice Cuvillier, and of the series of No5el Gloesner ( Thousand and one adventures of Chiffonnette , the Indeflatable ones of Chantovent as from 1947), of Edmond-François Calvo, Zéphyr (1952-1963) of Pierre Brochard, Touchatou of Robert Moreau, Bull Dozer of Mic Delinx,… François Bel takes again Phil and Jordi there.

Fripounet

In 1969, the weekly magazine becomes Fripounet and appears until our days. It publishes series of François Castan, Sylvio the cricket of Philippe Luguy, the Adventures of Lucile and the Green Horse of Joelle Savey, Tahoré small Tahitien of Curd Ridel and Pierre-Yves Gabrion, Nelly of Pierre Lacroix, Baby-Cat of Jean-Paul Dethorey… the series of Bonnet is taken again in 1983 by Roland Gremet then by Christian Goux under the title the New Adventures of Fripounet and Marisette , with scenarios of Didier Convard.

Characters

Fripounet : its nickname is the emotional diminutive of " fripon". Young fair boy with the air mocker.
Marisette: little girl with the surmounted brown hair of a red ribbon, wiser air.
Luculas Uncle: Widower, uncle and godfather of Fripounet, father of Marisette
Aunt Camille: Aunt de Fripounet
Abélard Tiste: friend of the two cousins. A little breakage-neck, it does not forget however to put its helmet in the scooter.
Éloïse: been engaged of Abélard. They marry and have children, fact rare in the French series. Their couple is an allusion to a famous couple of the Middle Ages.
Picky: dog of Marisette and Fripounet.
Marius Pascalou: Friend of Fripounet and Marisette, and who has a helicopter.
