Fringillidae sensu stricto
The family of the fringillidés (or Fringillidae ) belongs to the class of the Oiseau X and to the order of the Passériformes. She includes/understands the subfamily of the fringillinés (3 species of Pinson S) and the subfamily of the carduélinés (142 species of canaries, goldfinches, linnet, verdier, etc). The subfamily of the Drépanidinés is sometimes regarded as a family with whole share (31 species of Drépanis of Hawaii).
In the phylogeny of Sibley, the fringillidés set up a group much broader including in addition to the 3 subfamilies quoted above, of many other families (cardinalidés, thraupidés, embérizidés, parulidés and ictéridés).
