The Frinault is a Fromage French produces in the area of Orleans, in the Loiret. It holds its name of its inventor, Mr. Frinault. It is produced at the believed full-cream milk beginning. It is drained during approximately three weeks, it is then soft, with a crust which transfers with gray-blue.

Ashy Frinault

The ashy Frinault is distinguished from ordinary Frinault by its refining. After the first phase, the still wet cheese is put out of box with coal ash, in which it is refined during four more weeks. This results in a crust darker and firmer than ordinary Frinault. Its taste is also fruitier.

A comparable cheese is the ashy Olivet.
