Friisk Foriining

The Friisk Foriining ( Friesian Company in septentrional Clippings) is a religious organization of the Friesian minority of the Germany.

Formed in 1923 under the name of Friesisch-Schleswiger Verein (in German = Friesian-schleswig Association ), association aims at the maintenance and the development of the language and the identity of the 10.000 Frison S which live in the regional frontier one between Germany and the Denmark in the Land of the Schleswig-Holstein.

Friisk Foriining integrates the Conseil interfrison with other regional organizations of the Schleswig-Holstein. He is also associated member of the federalistic Union of the European ethnic communities (UFCE) and of the German national committee of the European Office for the languages little used (EBLUL).
