Friend Lullin

Friendly Lullin , born the February 22nd 1748 with Geneva and deceased the December 4th 1816 in Geneva, is a politician Suisse.

Biography

After studies of letters and Philosophy to the Academy of Geneva, it becomes lawyer in 1770.

Member of the the Council of the Two hundred (1775), secretary of justice (1776 - 1777), Lord of the manor of Jussy (1780 - 1781), member of the Small Council (1781 - 1792) then Syndic of Geneva (1790), it is one of the chiefs of the aristocratic party of Constitutionnaires. Imprisoned by the Representatives from April at June 1781, he is condemned to four years of prison in 1792 and condemned to dead by Contumace by the revolutionary tribunal in 1794.

Refugee with Archamps (Haute-Savoie) during the French occupation, it belongs to the secret committee preparing the return to Genevese independence. With the arrival of the Austrian troops in 1813, it returns to Geneva and becomes chief of the provisional government then first syndic in 1814 and 1815. It takes part then actively in the restoration of the Old Mode.
