Friedrich Wilhelm Martini

Friedrich Wilhelm Martini is a Médecin and German Naturaliste , born in 1729 and died in 1778.

This doctor of Hamburg starts to make appear in 1769 a work richly illustrated color on the Coquillage S: Neues systematisches Conchylaceous-Cabinet . But he dies two years after the publication of the third volume. Its work is then continued by Johann Hieronymus Chemnitz (1730-1800) which adds eight volumes in to him 1779 and 1795. Although the two authors do not use the binomial system, they are regarded as the authors of many S which they appear.
