Friedrich Rust

Friedrich Wilhelm Rust was born with Wörlitz (in the east of the Germany) the July 6th 1739. He studied with the college Luthérien until 1758 and he follows studies of jurisprudence to Halle, where he meets Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
Starting from 1762, Rust studies the music with Charles Hoeck and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. In 1767, it accompanies prince Leopold Friedrich Franz d' Anhalt-Dessau during a voyage in Italy, where it improves at Giuseppe Tartini and others. It succeeds Johann Friedrich Fasch, band master of the court and the theater with Dessau. Goethe, which it recontre in 1776, is very impressed by the artist.
He dies in Dessau, the February 28th 1796.
