Friedrich Mohs
Friedrich Mohs is a German Géologue born the January 29th 1773 with Gernrode.
It is known for its work on the mineral that it classified according to their physical characteristics (form, hardness, density) independently of their chemical composition as that was done before. One owes him in particular the scale of hardness which bears its name.
It is deceased the September 29th 1839 during a voyage in Italy.
