Friedrich Dahl
Karl Friedrich Theodor Dahl is a German zoologist , born the June 24th 1856 in Rosenhofer Brök in the Holstein and dead the June 29th 1929 with Greifswald.
Originating in a family of farmer, it makes his studies in the universities of Leipzig, Freiburg, Berlin and Kiel. It becomes, in 1887, Privatdozent and makes two voyages in the Baltique and the Archipel Bismarck. He studied all the zoological groups with a predilection for the Araignée S. He is interested particularly in the Biogéographie. He marries Maria Dahl (1872-1972) which works at the institute of zoology of Kiel and which also makes appear several work on the spiders. One owes in Friedrich Dahl the intention of the word Biotope.
