Fridefont

Fridefont is a common French, located in the department of the Cantal and the area Auvergne.

Orthography

It is sometimes spelled Fridefond (with “D”) on some topographic charts with 1:50 000 of IGN.

The word Fridefont wants to say in patois auvergnat " water froide". To associate with the close city (chief of place of canton) Hot Acute which as old French wants to say " water chaude".
