Friday
The Friday is the fifth Jour of the Semaine (if it is considered that the week begins Monday). The word Friday is resulting from the Latin Veneris dies , meaning “day of Venus”. The other days of the week are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The ISO standard codes Friday with figure 5.
In the Germanic countries it is the day of the goddess Freya (German Freitag, Friday in English, etc…) who is the equivalent of Venus.

Friday is one day special for 3 religions:
Friday is the holy day of the Islam.
" ordinaire" is, except time of festival, one day of abstinence for the Christians: they do not eat meat this day.

Certaines superstitions grants to the Fridays 13 of the virtues of chance or bad luck, perhaps because the Apôtre S and Jesus were thirteen Friday of the Cène or because Jesus was crucifié the Friday the 13th nissan, shabat day before, which was also Passover. Statistically, there is from one to two Fridays 13 per annum:
- twelve months ago having each one a thirteenth day,
